Swami Ramakrishnananda Puri – Australian Tour 2007
Brisbane:  September 30th and October 1st 2007

Swami Ramakrishnananda, one of Amma’s senior disciples, will be visiting Brisbane and conducting two public programs comprised of devotional worship, talks, music, meditation, and chanting. With characteristic wit and lively examples Swami Ramakrishnananda has a wonderful way of sharing his experiences and profound spiritual insights, gleaned from nearly three decades spent as a disciple of Amma.

Swami Ramakrishnananda met Amma in 1978 and soon after came to live at Amma’s ashram. He has been travelling around the globe with Amma since her first world tour in 1987. Currently, he spends most of his time visiting Amma's ashrams and centres around the world; leading retreats, giving discourses, teaching yoga and meditation classes and organising the many disaster relief and charitable activities of the organisation. Swami Ramakrishnananda is a warm and inspiring presenter who has dedicated his life to sharing Amma’s message of love and service to humanity.

PUJA:  Puja is the ritualistic worship of images of God, as a means to express our love and devotion, as well as being a means to overcome our negative tendencies and minimize the malefic energies influencing our lives. Through doing puja, thoughts and vibrations of spiritual forces are created around us. These spiritual forces work to eliminate the negative forces in our life, and help to surround us with forces that enable us to more clearly touch the divine, our true nature.

-AMMA (Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi)

“The malefic planetary conjunctions are the phases in one’s life when one’s ‘aura’ gets darkened. Such a person is like one groping in the darkness. His thoughts and activities are misguided. The vibrations radiating from him displease others." "It is possible to reduce the suffering due to the unfavourable position of planets through sincere reliance on God, the One who controls the planets. The Indwelling Lord cannot turn a deaf ear to a soulful prayer said with an open heart.” -AMMA (Sri Mata Amritanandamayi Devi)
