Amidst girls from Kerala and Mumbai competing for honours at the Tamil film industry, debutant director Kalanidhi has opted for a girl from Kannada filmdom to play the heroine in his forthcoming Tamil movie titled Tharagu. Dimple, a popular heroine in Kannada film industry, has been cast to play the heroine opposite Sanjay. The latter shot to fame playing the lead role in Valli, produced by Rajnikanth, a few years ago.

 Bharani will be scoring the music for the movie. Lyrics are by Na Muthukumar and Viveka. Cinematography is by Kasi Viswa. According to Kalanidhi, 'it is a romantic entertainer. Bharani's music would be the highlight of it. Plans are on to complete the film at one- go and release it at the earliest'.

He adds, ' Dimple has immense talent and she will make it big it here'. The star cast includes Rajan P Dev, V M C Haneefa, Mahanadhi Shankar and Venniradai Murthy.
