Eswaralaya Kalaikoodam was first established at Srilanka in 1981 and moved to New Zealand in 1988 and now successfully being conducted at Calamvale, Brisbane since 2003 . Mrs. Manga Surendran, who is the artistic director of Eswaralaya Kalaikoodam has performed various solo recitals and group dances when she was student and has transformed into a successful teacher since she has established her Eswaralaya Kalaikoodam. During her teaching time,Manga has conducted solely, five talented students to do their Arangetrams of which one was held in Sri Lanka and the rest in New Zealand.

A large number of enthusiastic pupils from diverse cultural backgrounds undergo training in a systematic and professional manner under her guidance. Manga has a unique capacity for training students in Bharatha Natyam, Folk Dances and Dance-Dramas.
